Common questions

Should a scaffolding quote be in writing?

Yes. A written quote sets out what's included, the hire period and the terms, so there's no confusion later.

Does a scaffolding quote include VAT?

Not always. Check whether the price includes VAT, especially when comparing quotes from different companies.

What if my tradesperson is arranging the scaffold?

Ask them what the scaffold includes – elevations, lifts, edge protection and hire period – so you know what you're paying for within their quote.
